It is with deepest sympathy that we begin…..
Kristan Wilson was a fun-loving, talented, athletic, intelligent, beautiful girl whose time with us was too short! She was a graduate of Lawrence Central in 2002, who distinguished herself as a Top 30 student, an exceptional soccer player (4 year letterman), and an incredibly warm and vivacious individual! She attended Oaklandon, Amy Beverland and Belzer Middle School, and had just completed her sophomore year as a psychology/pre-med student at The University of Memphis enjoying an academic/ athletic (soccer) scholarship.
In response to their loss, Kristan’s family, Mike, Kim and Lindsay, created a scholarship fund at the Foundation in Kristan’s name. The "Kristan Wilson Scholarship" will be given annually through the Lawrence Township School Foundation to honor the memory of Kristan’s zest for life, high academic achievement, and outstanding athletic participation. It will pay tribute to the positive achievements and integrity she and her family have displayed throughout their committed service to MSDLT and to the Lawrence Community.
The award will be presented to a deserving Lawrence Township High School graduate(s) who has exhibited outstanding academic achievement, exceptional athletic involvement and good character and citizenship.
Through the generous support of contributions from our Lawrence Township School family, and friends of Kristan and her family, the Foundation hopes to offer this award annually as a long-lasting tribute and remembrance. If you would care to be a part of this very special acknowledgment to the Wilson family please send your gifts payable to the Lawrence Township School Foundation office at 5626 Lawton Loop E. Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46216. All gifts are tax-deductible and LTSF envelopes have been placed in all the school offices for your convenience.

D.J. Tamer Memorial Scholarship
The Daniel J. Tamer Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of its namesake. D.J. Tamer was the valedictorian of the class of 2000 at Lawrence North High School, as well as a multiple letter winner in track and cross country. While these are significant and commendable achievements, what made D.J. unique was that he was defined by so much more. He understood that to be great meant to embrace every day as if it might be your last, so make it memorable and every person as if he were your best friend, so make that person feel like it. He loved to laugh and make people laugh, and he loved life. He embodied the spirit that has become his legacy in the motto that attends the awarding of this scholarship: get busy living.
The intention of the scholarship is to recognize a Lawrence North High School senior who is planning to attend a school in Indiana, and who encompasses the various traits that made D.J. Tamer so unique. The recipient must not only be an outstanding student, but he or she must also embrace the opportunity to make the world better by looking for the good in life, and by bringing out the best in others.
The student who is awarded the D.J. Tamer Memorial Scholarship will receive a scholarship in the amount of $2,000 and the responsibility to Get Busy Living.
