Community Investment Luncheon
Lawrence Township business leaders kicked off March Madness at the NCAA Headquarters on March 20th. One hundred fifty guests gathered to learn how they can make an impact on our children's education. Hosted by Gerry Dick, Inside Indiana Business, the group heard first hand how Foundation-funded programs are making a difference. High school students gave personal accounts of their own success stories due to support from the AVID college preparatory program (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and the MAC (My Achievement Center) tutoring centers. USA Funds, represented by Henry Fernandez, received an award in recognition of its generous financial support for the AVID program.

Dads & Lads Sports Spectacular
This inaugural event was a great success! Over 200 Lawrence Township dads and son gathered at Sports of All Sorts on Friday, February 22nd to participate in sports activities and help raise money for the Foundation. Dads and sons enjoyed grade-level competitions, exhibitions and free play activities. The night ended with pizza, presentation of ribbons and grade-level champion trophies and a basketball shooting contest to win a Ford Mustang. Unfortunately, we didn't have a winner, but hopefully all our participants left that evening feeling like winners! Thanks to the support of our sponsors, donors and participants, the event raised $5,000 to benefit Lawrence Township students!

Ladies' Luncheon & Style Show
A Luncheon and Fashion Show was held on October 25, 2007 to help raise funds to benefit Lawrence Township students. Fashions were provided by The Secret Ingredient. In addition, a select group of vendors were on hand with a collection of fun, functional and chic items - jewelry, cosmetics, home décor items, clothing, embroidered items, handbags and glassware. A record $14,000 was raised from the luncheon!

LTSF "Light Their Future" Gala
On Friday, April 18, 2008, the Lawrence Township School Foundation hosted the 8th annual “Light Their Future” Gala at the Marriott North/Keystone at the Crossing. A crowd of nearly 500 guests enjoyed socializing, bidding on silent auction items, dinner, a live auction and dancing to the music of Zanna-Doo!
We are thrilled to report that net proceeds are going to be over $105,000!! This is a record amount for the event and is more than a 65% increase over last year’s results!
We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all those who helped make the Gala such a success: our hard-working committee, volunteers, Board members, corporate sponsors, table captains, auction donors and our guests.
We are already looking forward to next year’s Gala! Because of the tremendous growth of the Gala, we are moving to a larger location - the Downtown Indianapolis Marriott.

“Fore The Kids” has been a part of Foundation special events since 1986 and remains one of our most popular and successful fundraising events. Although many of Ironwood Golf Club's 27 holes were under water, this year's tournament was a success! Thirty-six foursomes turned out on June 5th to help the students of Lawrence Township. Net proceeds are estimated to be $20,000, which helps fund educational programs that are not covered by tax dollars.

Teacher Recognition Celebration
This annual event honors and celebrates our wonderful Lawrence Township educators. Service awards are presented as well as special recognition for 25-year teachers. A great GT South's meal is served while the teachers get a chance to mingle with their co-workers.

Evening of Giving
The Lawrence Township School Foundation benefits from the annual Simon Evening of Giving. This fund raising event is a fun-filled night of private holiday shopping and family entertainment. There are store discounts, raffle prizes, beverages and hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants and a special appearance by Santa.
Participating locations are Fashion Mall at Keystone and Greenwood Park Mall. Don’t miss this enjoyable opportunity to help the students of Lawrence Township while doing your holiday shopping!
