| | CONGRATULATIONS WENDY GOLDEN
Susan Jordan Excellence In Education Scholarship Recipient
Congratulations to Wendy Golden, this year's recipient of the Susan Jordan Excellence in Education Scholarship. Ms. Golden is the Art Department Chair at Lawrence Central High School where she teaches various art classes. She was quite surprised when Lisa Jankowski arrived to present the scholarship.
In July 2019, Ms. Golden will be traveling to Vancouver, Canada, to participate in a 5-day workshop that offers art educators an opportunity to theorize and practice ‘making’ in art education. Through a diverse array of sessions, workshops, and field experiences, delegates will be able to re-imagine and reflect upon ‘making’ in art education. What a great opportunity to reignite one's passion for teaching, or to increase one's proficiency with a certain learning style or barrier to learning, which is the spirit behind this generous award. |
| | HONOR AN EDUCATOR
A Great Way to Say THANKS to That Special Someone
The Honor An Educator program is a great way to personally thank today’s superheroes - the teachers, administrators, coaches, bus drivers, and staff members who encourage, influence, and inspire your students to become tomorrow’s superheroes.
When you make a gift to the Honor An Educator Campaign, LTSF sends the recipient a custom designed card with your special sentiment and notifies his/her supervisor of the recognition. All proceeds benefit Foundation programs in Lawrence Township Schools that empower children to tap into their unlimited potential.

November 27, 2018
It's easy as 1, 2, 3!

- Click here to make a donation to LTSF or visit the Lawrence Township School Foundation’s Facebook page (@LawrenceTownshipSchoolFoundation) and click the donate button.
- Take a photo or video proclaiming why you gave and post it on social media. Be sure to tag the Foundation or use the hashtags #LTSFsuperhero #LTSFunselfie.
- Invite your friends to do the same.
Whether you decide to give $5 or $500 to the Lawrence Township School Foundation on this day of giving, you are part of a community of superheroes.

| | RUN MSDLT RUN!
584 Students Run in the Indy Half at Fort Ben 5K
The LTSF Up & Running program gets students active and healthy as the students, grades 4 and up, train to participate in two 5K runs each year. The mission is to challenge students to experience the benefits of goal-setting, character development, adult mentoring and improved health by providing them with a true life-changing experience.
LTSF is so proud of the 584 Up & Running students, the mentors, and volunteers for participating in the 5K portion of the Indy Half Marathon on October 6, 2018! Your dedication to health and wellness is deeply appreciated.
Thank you, Beyond Monumental and the Monumental Kids Movement, for sponsoring our program. Also, a special shoutout to MCIT, Lawrence Central, Rodger Smith, and Dr. Smith for supporting our students on race day. You are all superheroes!
