Día Latino de Lawrence

Celebrating Culture. Building Community. Inspiring Students.

Since 2022, Día Latino de Lawrence has allowed us to celebrate Latino culture with vibrancy and pride, while uplifting our students, families, and community. On behalf of the MSD of Lawrence Township and the Lawrence Township School Foundation (LTSF), we are excited to share that Día Latino will transition from one large, districtwide event to 15 school-based celebrations.

Día Latino has brought our Lawrence Township community together in a joyful celebration of Latino culture through music, dance, food, and family traditions. Our school-based celebrations will be designed to honor the unique voices, talents, and heritage of our students and families.

Why Día Latino Matters

  • Cultural Pride: Students shine as they showcase their heritage through performances, art, and language.
  • Connection: Families, educators, and community members gather in meaningful, familiar spaces to celebrate together.
  • Opportunity: Programs like our Mariachi bands and Folklore Dance groups give students the chance to learn, perform, and grow in confidence.

A New Chapter

In 2025, Día Latino transitioned to a school-based format, making celebrations more accessible and personal. Each school event highlights the creativity of its own community while continuing to strengthen districtwide cultural understanding.
