Susan Jordan Excellence in Education Scholarship honors the legacy of Susan Jordan by providing one or more scholarships annually to LT teachers. This scholarship is dedicated to supporting professional development opportunities that enrich teaching practices and enable educators to better serve children with increased passion and effectiveness.
The scholarship aims to empower teachers by funding participation in enriching programs, workshops, or courses that enhance their skills, knowledge, and ability to inspire learning. By investing in professional growth, the program honors Susan Jordan's commitment to education and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within Lawrence Township Schools.
Any MSD of Lawrence Township teacher, school personnel, or administrator is eligible to apply. The Susan Jordan Excellence in Education Scholarship does not cover college tuition, and an applicant must be:
- Currently employed at the MSD of Lawrence Township
- In good employment standing with the MSD of Lawrence Township
- Utilizing professional development to further enhance the student experience.
Dates to Know:
- Scholarship Applications Open: Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 8:00 am
- Deadline for Scholarship Applications: Friday, September 4, 2026, at 5:00 pm
- Final Report for Grant Award Due: Immediately upon completion of professional development experience. A link will be provided to fill out your grant report.

Share your story with us—tell us why the program is remarkable and how it will help you support your students' learning. If selected, you could receive up to $2,000 to attend this program.
Susan Jordan dedicated her life to encouraging and inspiring teachers to be their best for the children at her school. The Susan Jordan Legacy Fund, which supports this scholarship, aims to help teachers find and finance enriching programs, enabling them to serve children with even greater joy.
