VEX Robotics
The VEX Robotics program at Lawrence Township Schools engages students in an exciting journey through the Engineering Design Process. Participants are challenged to conceptualize, design, build, and test their own robots to accomplish specific tasks. This hands-on learning experience not only cultivates technical skills in robotics and engineering but also fosters teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving abilities among students. The program includes participation in friendly competitions held across the district, where teams showcase their robots' capabilities and innovation. Exceptional teams also have the opportunity to advance to higher levels of competition, including the World Championships, where they can compete on a global stage. By integrating real-world challenges with STEM education, the VEX Robotics program encourages Lawrence Township students to explore their interests in science and technology, preparing them for future careers and inspiring a passion for innovation and discovery.
The LT Elementary VEX Robotics League was created in Lawrence Township to allow all 11 elementary schools to participate in this program. Students practice after school and compete in intra-district competitions.
