Up & Running

The LTSF Up & Running program is an afterschool running club for elementary students that increases fitness awareness. The mission is to challenge students to experience the benefits of goal setting, character development, adult mentoring, and improved health by providing them with a life-changing experience. The ultimate goal is to train two days a week and compete in a 5K run at the Indy Half Marathon at Fort Ben in the Fall and the Prairie Dash 5K in the Spring.

Indy Half Marathon & 5K at Fort Ben

Join LTSF and the Up & Running programs for the 5K on October 4, 2025, at 8:25 am at Lawton Loop East Drive at Fort Ben!

The 5K will feature hundreds of Lawrence Township students who participate in the Apex Benefits Monumental Kids Movement running program. The program, founded by Beyond Monumental in 2012, focuses on engaging and educating youth about the benefits of physical fitness and healthy living.

For community members and families who wish to participate in any of the races, please check back soon to register! Students will be registered through our program.
