Connecting Deserving Students with Opportunities

The Bridge Fund is a community partner with The Foundation and is a designated reserve allocated to support deserving high school students in Lawrence Township.  The Bridge Fund was created to help bridge the gap or break down barriers that might hold a good student back from achieving the next level of engagement in high school. These barriers are often due to circumstances beyond the student’s control and sometimes follow under the category of “non-conventional need” where other resources just aren’t available.  This past year, through this fund, we were able to support things such as book rental, course fees, AP tests, caps and gowns, bus passes, and so much more.  In September, the second annual Dr. McCune Memorial Golf Outing was held at Pebble Brook Golf Course.  Net proceeds exceeded $9,000.  Special guest Adam Vinatieri was on hand signing autographs.
