Amy Pauszek, a distinguished alumna of Lawrence Central High School's Class of 1984, has crafted an impressive career shaped by her early passions in theater, sports, and student council. Her journey from a theater enthusiast at Lawrence Central to a prominent film producer highlights a dedication to impactful storytelling. Over 18 years, Amy transitioned from a volunteer at the Heartland Film Festival to a respected filmmaker, known for documentaries on critical issues like the opioid crisis and celebrated local figures. Her acclaimed short film "Grateful," about an ALS survivor, gained international recognition. Beyond filmmaking, she contributes as a board member of Heartland Film Festival and as the society editor for Sophisticated Living magazine. Amy's deep connection to her community and her belief in giving and receiving exemplify the diverse and impactful paths Lawrence Central graduates can pursue.
