A few dads of Lawrence Township students had been watching as the Mom’s Care giving circle raised thousands of dollars to support critical student needs during COVID and beyond. Knowing other dads who care deeply about student success, they wondered if they could double the impact started by Mom’s Care. By encouraging 100 dads to give $100, they wanted to raise $10,000 to directly support student needs in their district.
But in a district so large, offering support means tending to a variety of needs. Providing emergency food items or a backpack of school supplies offers support. Providing classrooms with resources and graduating seniors with scholarships offers support. Providing hands-on learning opportunities in wellness, STEM, and performing arts offers support. Since the Lawrence Township School Foundation provides these resources and more, the Dad’s Care initiative decided to direct donated dollars to empower that continued work.

Together, we hope this caring, giving circle will be ongoing as we continue to extend the student needs we are able to support.
